It's symbolic of something, i don't know what exactly, but when a landmark like that collapses it must affect your psyche.

keep warm! and come to Ja soon.Annie Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18002716362243335338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3953848556540874315.post-48935532998658405802010-01-13T15:33:11.837-08:002010-01-13T15:33:11.837-08:00Annie thank you for putting up these links and not...Annie thank you for putting up these links and notes.
I still await news but have also heard of a close friend who was unharmed.
I had the thought this afternoon that perhaps this "Palais" which I loved since childhood should remain as a preserved ruin- precisely for the sake of future generations-a s an expression of the fragility that will always persist. but it is an artists mad folly perhaps.

Warm regards from cold berlin,jean-ulrickhttp://www.jeanulrickdesert.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3953848556540874315.post-68938462497960432472010-01-13T12:54:06.592-08:002010-01-13T12:54:06.592-08:00Yes, i feel depressed too. can't add any more ...Yes, i feel depressed too. can't add any more to what you'v said.Annie Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18002716362243335338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3953848556540874315.post-29317654725835753382010-01-13T10:39:25.458-08:002010-01-13T10:39:25.458-08:00I was so moved when I saw footage of the destructi...I was so moved when I saw footage of the destruction in Haiti this morning. Most hurtful for me is the fact that there is nothing I can say to provide solace to people who are homeless, injured, or who have lost close family and friend in Haiti. I feel empty today. I have two close Hatian friends who might have lost family members... but also, it is most apparent that this is another big blow that will further retard the ability of Hatians today, and in future generations, to live without hunger and general hopelessness.
*Heavy sigh*Fiyu Piknihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02436637433989843647noreply@blogger.com
